2024 Women’s Retreat Theme

The 2024 theme is: The Lord IS MY STRENGTH!

Scriptural basis comes from Psalms 28:7-9 NKJV)

The LORD is my strength and my shield; My heart trusted in Him, and I am helped; Therefore my heart greatly rejoices, And with my song I will praise Him. The LORD is their strength, And He is the saving refuge of His anointed. Save Your people, And bless Your inheritance; Shepherd them also, And bear them up forever.

Women’s Retreat Hosts

Minister Nikeisha White – Visionary

Minister Nikeisha is a Daughter of the King! A testament to His grace, mercy, miracles, signs and wonders for her life, Nikeisha experienced and continues to experience God’s love. Wherever she goes, God uses her as a vessel to share His good news. In 2011, the Lord spoke to Nikeisha to bring a women’s retreat to New Northside. After years of questioning the assignment, followed by much prayer—which finally led to trusting God, New Northside had its first women’s retreat in 2016 and God has blessed each retreat thereafter. Nikeisha is married to her amazing husband Daniel of 6 years and together they have a 2-year old beautiful daughter named Logan. Also, they are dog parents to their son name Prince.

Amelia Hill – Activities/Vendor Chair

I have been a member of the New Northside Baptist Church for 30 plus years. I am currently a member of the Choir and the Women’s Retreat Committee. Throughout my years, I have served in the capacity of Spiritual Advisor for the Praise Unlimited Youth Choir.  I have orchestrated and collaborated with various members of my church, as well as the community, to organize various events where we could create a serene, tranquil, educational, social, and spiritual environment for people to come together and learn about the Lord and exchange knowledge. I try to make a conscience effort to keep an open mind and to meet people where they are in life. One thing is certain, “Only what we do for Christ will last!”

Chevelle Stewart – Dance/Gift Chair

Chevelle Stewart has been in the field of education for over 20 years.  She is currently the Coordinator of Afterschool Programs for St. Louis Public Schools.  Chevelle has been a member of New Northside Missionary Baptist Church since 2004.  She is a willing worker and serves in the following capacities:  2nd Vice President of the Deaconess Board, Administrator of the New Membership Class, Vice President of the Adult Praise Dancers (Divine Inspiration), and Co-Chair of Finance & Chair of Donations/Gifts for the Women’s Retreat Committee.  She has been married for 32 years to Victor Stewart.  They have 2 children, Nicholas & Alexandra and 1 grandson, Kai.

Hope Young – Photographer/Videographer/Web Designer

I am thankful for the gift of creativity that god has blessed me with to share with others and to lift up HIS name. To serve is so important and what better way of doing so by being a part of the NNMBC Women’s Retreat Committee. As a member of New Northside for 27 years, a wife and mother, I love this collaborative effort of women building, inspiring and bringing forth God’s Words to renew one another.

Proverbs 27:17 “Iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another.” God Bless!

Alison Cole – Praise & Worship Leader

Alison Cole‘s faith journey started when she gave her life to Christ at age 5.  Since that time, God has used family, church and music to encourage her ever-growing faith.  By surrendering back to the Lord her God-given gifts-especially for music, God has used Alison to comfort, uplift and encourage.  This is evident from her earliest years singing songs taught to her by her grandmother during Sunday School programs; to recent years contributing her voice to various ministry efforts at her home church-New Northside MBC; and also in her 20-year career as a board-certified Music Therapist. Alison feels blessed to be wife to Donald and mother to Ava & Gracie. One of Alison’s favorite verses is Psalm 118:14 “The LORD is my strength and song, and is become my salvation.”
